This graduate program is for an elite group of students. We will train and certify you as a Guide and/or Assistance Trainer. This training is extremely intensive and in-depth and will build off what you've learned in the Professional Dog Trainer Program. You will learn how to train a dog from start to finish and how to deliver the dog to its new owner.
Over the past 10 years Guide and Assistance dogs have become more accepted as a necessity rather than a luxury and the demand for educated, qualified trainers is continuing to increase. As a graduate of the TRS Guide and/or Assistance Program you will be a highly qualified and competent trainer able to provide individuals increased independence and mobility throught he benefits of a Guide and/or Assistance Dog.
This program is highly selective and acceptence depends on performance and attitude in the Professional Dog Trainer Program and recommendation from TRS Staff. |
