Tom Rose founded TRS in 1972 with a desire and passion for teaching people and training dogs. Tom has established himself as one of the most respected and knowledgeable dog trainers in the world through his decades of studying, refining, and mastering the art of dog training.
By the time Tom was a young adult, he and his wife Holly were breeding, training, competing, and running a successful boarding kennel. They competed heavily in confirmation, AKC, and Schutzhund. As Tom's reputation and expertise grew, he begun to have many requests to give training seminars around the country. After doing this for several years he decided to open his own dog training school to certify people as professional dog trainers and has not looked back since.
Tom has also authored three popular training books including: "Protection Dogs for You and Your Family", "Training the Competitive Working Dog", and "Training with the Touch".
Tom is still an avid competitor and judge in AKC and Schutzhund and continues to teach the art of dog training to his students at The Tom Rose School.
